Physical Security
Grab their attention.
Project Background
Early on in the project kick off and analysis discussion I discovered how important it was to the stakeholder to create a self-paced program for physical security safety program that stood out. I was told to “grab their attention” with something visually exciting and new that would introduce the entire employee population to the Corporate Physical Security Team and drive appropriate calls into the Physical Security Operations Center (PSOC).
This program rolled out in two phases. Phase I consisted of an introductory eLearning course which introduced learners to the PSOC, provided examples of the types of situations PSOC should be notified about, and added the outlook contact information directly on the learner’s device. Phase II included another eLearning module which went more into depth about the types of security incidents each employee may face based upon their designated business unit. A total of 5 course variants were created with unique scenarios and situations. Simultaneous to this launch, printed posters and desk drops were made available for participating business units.
In the end the Physical Security Self-paced program removed the need for senior leadership to travel and deliver in-person, drove additional calls into the PSOC, and made employees safer.
